Ayşen Erdinçler

Prof., Environmental Sciences, Boğaziçi University & Head of Environmental Protection and Control Department, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality

Dr. Ayşen Erdinçler received her BSc. degree and her first MSc. degree in Environmental Engineering from Middle East Technical University, Turkey in 1986 and 1989 respectively. Dr. Erdinçler received her second MSc. degree and the PhD degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Duke University, NC, USA in 1991 and 1996 respectively. She has been working as a full professor at Boğaziçi University Institute of Environmental Sciences since 2008, where she has started working as an assistant professor in 1997. Her interest areas are “sustainable waste management”, “treatment and disposal of wastewater sludges”, “biomass energy”, “waste-to-energy systems”. As of December 2019, Dr. Erdinçler was appointed as the Head of Environmental Protection&Development Department of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.
