Ramon Canal Oliveras

Dr., Director of Agenda 2030 Barcelona, Barcelona City Council

Ramon Canal-Oliveras holds a PhD in Political Science from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). He has been a public manager and adviser to the City Council of Manresa and research coordinator at the Institute of Government and Public Policies. For years he has also worked as a policy consultant and as an associate professor at UAB. His main research topics are local policies, public management and citizen participation. Since 2016 he manages the Technical Office of Programming of the Barcelona City Council, which is leading the Council’s effort in localising and implementing the sustainable development Agenda 2030.
