Özge Sivrikaya

Sustainable Development Goals Ambassador, Marmara Municipalities Union

Özge Sivrikaya has been working as International Cooperation Expert at Marmara Municipalities Union (MMU). Besides, as SDG Ambassador, she has coordinated MMU’s SDG-related actitivies and running MMU’s SDG Working Group as of June 2020. Before joining MMU, she worked as research assistant in the History Department at Bilgi University. She also has experiences from international civil society organizations. She completed her bachelor’s degree with a double major in Political Science and International Relations & History at Bogazici University in Turkey. She took master-level courses in History at Sabancı University. She earned her master’s degree in Political Science at Aarhus University in Denmark. She wrote her dissertation on the impact of intergroup threat perception on social policy attitudes. Her interests lie in sustainable development, international cooperation, international city networks, local diplomacy, intergroup relations, social policy, social networks analysis.
