Marta Mazurek

Dr., Municipal Councilor, City of Poznan & Member of CEMR Standing Committee for Gender Equality

Dr. Marta Mazurek is Deputy Chair of the Human Rights and Equal Treatment Commission of the Association of Polish Cities and works in the field of local governments since 2016 when she started as Mayor’s Proxy for Equal Treatment in Poznan City Hall. Her activities focus on raising women’s participation in local government, raising public awareness of women’s achievements in history and promoting women’s activities at present, introducing gender balance in naming of public spaces, supporting women in situations of healthcare crisis and gender-related violence.
