Florence Egal
Urban-Rural Linkages Expert, Policy, Legislation and Governance Section, UN Habitat
Florence Egal is a Medical Doctor with a Masters in Community Health for Developing Countries. After 10 years in field and consultancy work, essentially in Africa and Latin America, she joined the Food and Nutrition in the UN Food and Agriculture Organization where she worked for more than twenty years on household food security, sustainable livelihoods and urban food systems, as well as inter-institutional collaboration, at global, national and local level. Upon retirement she pursued work on urban food systems and then joined the UN Habitat team promoting Urban Rural Linkages for Integrated Territorial Development.
