Erol Özgüner

Dr. Naim Erol ÖZGÜNER was born in 1971 in Istanbul. After graduating from Yıldız Technical University Electronics and Communication Engineering, he completed his master's and doctorate studies in the same department and was awarded the title of Doctor. Afterwards, he completed his MBA education at Bilgi University. After working as an assistant in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Kocaeli University for 4 years and as the Foreign Relations Manager of the university, he started to work as a GSM Cell Planning Engineer at Turkcell Communication Services Company in 2000. He took part as a senior manager in the projects of establishing and managing all electronic and IT system infrastructures of the GSM networks in Ukraine, Georgia and Belarus, as well as Turkcell Turkey, and most recently he managed the fixed and mobile network operations of Turkcell. Since 2016, he has been working as the General Manager of CF Telekom, which has been working on big data, data analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning. He speaks English. He has 1 daughter. As of 24.07.2019, he was appointed as the Head of Information Processing Department of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.
