Carlos Urrego

Urban Project Coordinator, Bloomberg Initiative for Global Road Safety

Carlos Urrego is a Colombian architect and urban planner graduated from the Urban Development Planning Master´s at the Bartlett School of Planning, University College London. With a strong background in urban design, transportation, and public space, he is passionate about seeking ways to improve quality of life in cities by creatively exploring innovative solutions for everyday chanllenges. At the Bloomberg Initiative for Global Road Safety, Carlos is the coordinator of Urban design and public Space projects in Colombia, where he has been since 2017 working with the City of Bogotá and more recently with the city of Cali and the National Road Safety Agency, in the formulating and implementing public policy projects around road safety, sustainable mobility and urban planning.
