Ayşegül Selışık

Assistant Representative, FAO Turkey

Working in managerial positions in various departments of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Ms. Selışık has been working for FAO for 11 years. She has more than 25 years of professional experience at national, regional and international level in the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the projects in the fields of agriculture, rural development, environment, income generation, marketing and value chain. She conducts the management process on policy and capacity building, resource mobilization in Turkey and Central Asian countries, with a special focus on sustainable food security, agriculture, rural development and natural resource management. She has also served as a lecturer at state universities on food safety, agricultural policy, project cycle management and marketing. She has extensive experience in developing partnerships with public and private institutions. Ms. Selışık; She has a bachelor's degree from Ankara University, Faculty of Agricultural Engineering. In addition, she has master's degree in Marketing, Product Management from Cranfield University and Food Science and Technologies from Cumhuriyet University, Faculty of Agriculture, and a PhD in Agricultural Economics from Ankara University.
