Ahmet Hakan Atik

Head of Project Implementation Department, Directorate for EU Affairs, Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs

He graduated from the University of Ankara, Faculty of Political Science Department of Economics in 1988. In the same year, he started to work as a Junior Economist Expert at the Economic Research and Analysis Directorate in the Development Bank of Turkey. In 1993, he obtained the title of expert with the thesis titled "Turkey and Black Sea Economic Cooperation Problems in the Framework of International Economic Cooperation Analysis". Between 1988 and 2011, he served in different units of the same institution with the titles of junior expert, expert, and senior expert. In 2011, he started to work as an EU Affairs Expert at the then Secretariat General for EU Affairs. In March 2019, he was appointed as the Head of Department of Project Implementation in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Directorate for EU Affairs, and he still performs the same duty.
