The urban morphology, which clarifies how and why cities and physical elements within urban areas are formed, provides detailed, often quantitative and strong analyzes in the fields of architecture, urban design, urban planning and even urban sociology. Turkish researchers were included among the researchers working on urban morphology from the different parts of the world, especially in Europe, under the umbrella of the International Seminar on Urban Form (ISUF), which was established in 1994. And these researchers established the Turkish Network of Urban Morphology (TNUM). In this session, both ISUF and TNUM researchers will question the practical relationship of urban morphology with urban planning, design and architecture, and will demonstrate the utility of this discipline for practitioners and local governments.
